Qatar supports the right to freedom of “religion or belief” and the right to freedom of “opinion and expression,” the foreign ministry’s director of human rights has said.
Speaking at a UN session this month, Sheikh Khalid bin Jassim Al-Thani said the “positive practice for both two rights can contribute to strengthening both of them,” QNA reports. He also voiced Qatar’s support of a resolution to combat intolerance, discrimination and incitement to violence.
