Dear friends, fans and followers,
It’s been too long since we’ve seen each other, and we’d like to change that! So please come to our fourth annual community meet-up on Saturday, June 6.
During this “Summer Survival” event, we plan to update you on Doha News developments, offer some giveaways and gain feedback from our community.

We also thought it would be a great time to discuss what to do in Doha now that it’s so hot out, offer some advice on those leaving for vacations, and discuss Ramadan, which is coming up!
The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha hotel in West Bay on Saturday, June 6th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
The Marriott Marquis hotel is the official sponsor of the event and will provide free beverages and finger-food. If you’re an avid follower of Doha News, care about what we’re doing and want to have your voice heard, you should definitely come.
So we know how much food to provide, please register to attend via our Eventbrite page by Wednesday, June 3. We look forward to seeing you there!
Not a chance, I’d face arrest, deportation or worst from my admirers…..
I’d stab your eyes out and chop the tip of your fingers off and feed them to you.
Please do come!
Please, some waterboarding before that :)))
I would come to watch that and perhaps even join ya.
*worse
Proof read the BS you post daily.
He’s not that bad but this is funny!
Late to be reading these comments, but, God, this one is actually pretty funny. Well, his posts are usually BS, which is why they need no proof-reading.
Btw, Deportation would be the ideal solution to ease, once and for all, your ramblings and complaints about this country, now, wouldnt it?
A great chance for a good scrap judging from all the arguments we see on here
I’m not too sure about that Ben. Online, we are maybe a little more forward/aggressive than we might be face-to-face. I think it’s a little like driving a Land Cruiser on D-Ring with aggressive tail gaiting, horn blaring and headlights flicking. That is to say, a little like monsters behind the wheel/computer screen. To come across the same person in a restaurant, office or mall 10 minutes later, they might well be charming and even considerate. In both cases, the feeling of assumed anonymity and power that comes from having a protective ‘barrier’ can result in very different behaviours.
Great idea. However, the event just makes it easier for MOI to round up everyone who does not sing to the same song of ‘Everything is Awesome’…
ahahahah!!!!!!!!!
As if any of the weasels on here would have the courage to not sing it in public.
More like rats. And yes I agree, their too scared. 🙂
Why would I want to hand myself over to such intolerant people like you who will scream for the police like a little baby shouting “blasphemer”. The sad thing is to promote one faith only in Qatar they will agree with you and oppress all other opinions.
I have never called you a “blasphemer” you ignorant buffoon, which is precisely what you are. Not some enlightened individual who appreciates and respects diversified opinions as you try to depict yourself to be, just an ignorant buffoon who likes to rock the boat on subjects he has little to no knowledge of.
You maybe a blasphemer, but you’re “my” blasphemer. No one touches mine, NO ONE!
Or, hand-out free Land-Cruiser vouchers to those who do.
Deleting for getting off track.
All of our events have been very civil and actually pretty fun 🙂
I am sure they are good fun and I hope the upcoming event is a great success for you 🙂
I think I might actually go! The number of people here who are kind and good at heart are much higher than the number of ignorant mishaps, given that it’s an anonymous internet community.
Insha’Allah I’ll be there!!
It would be fun to play ‘spot the undercover MoI official’……….
