Villaggio Mall evacuated shoppers and employees this evening after a fire scare in the food court, according to witnesses.

A Carrefour employee confirmed to Doha News that a “minor incident” occurred in the food court, adding that no one was hurt and everything was back to normal in short order.

The Ministry of Interior said the alarm was set off by mistake in one of the restaurant kitchens.
