Temperatures in Qatar are expected to be 3 to 6 degrees higher than average for this time of year over the next several days, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET).
In a statement, local forecasters warned that the weather will begin heating up today and peak on Saturday and Sunday, with maximum temperatures reaching 29C (84F) and minimums hovering between 16-19C (66F).
For those looking to do things outside this weekend, there are plenty of events planned around town, including the re-opening of Al Khor Park.
Still time before summer
However, winter isn’t over yet – windy conditions will bring cooler temps back by the middle of the week, the MET added.
It also warned people to expect decreased visibility in the early mornings due to foggy conditions. Additionally, windspeed will pick up on Monday, leading to blowing dust, especially in the western part of the country.
