Following the confusing July move of its main offices in Qatar, Aramex continues to shake things up by closing its Landmark location and relocating its office in Qatar Foundation.
The changes seem to have further exacerbated the once-popular shop and ship company’s relationship with residents frustrated by what they say is continuously poor customer service.
Doha resident Trasy said she was surprised when she tried to pick up a package from Landmark Mall last week and found the Aramex office closed:
This branch was useful for residents not wanting to make the long long journey up to the main office and avoid the dangerous practice of pulling off the road at speed onto a dirt track, finding parking etc. The man said it’s just the main office and Education City L The main office is so difficult with bad parking and queues which take forever and people pushing in.
When reached by phone, an Aramex employee said there was “no reason” for the closure of the branch.
In yet another change, Aramex last week sent a notice to customers that it was also relocating its Qatar Foundation office from the clubhouse near the university campuses to Lot 4 of QF Housing – a bit off the beaten path, for many.
The move follows a summer shifting of the company’s main operations to Wholesale Market Road in Abu Hamour, which customers said had no proper parking or queue system.
Have you been affected by the changes?
