Official mission members are due back in Qatar on Monday after overseeing what authorities described as one of the most successful Hajj seasons in recent years.
The official Qatari Hajj mission is scheduled to return to Doha on Monday after concluding a highly successful pilgrimage season marked by extensive coordination, organisation and support for pilgrims.
The return of mission members comes after all Qatari pilgrims safely arrived home in recent days following the completion of Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia, according to the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
Ali bin Sultan Al-Misifri, Director of the Department of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, said the season was among the most successful in terms of organisation, coordination and service quality provided to pilgrims. He said the return of pilgrims had been completed smoothly through successive Qatar Airways and Saudia flights.
Al-Misifri attributed the success to cooperation between multiple government bodies, including the ministries of interior, foreign affairs, public health and endowments, as well as a range of operational units responsible for transport, healthcare, religious guidance, communications and field monitoring.
He said preparations began well before the pilgrimage and included coordination over accommodation and services at the holy sites of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah. The mission also worked closely with Saudi authorities to facilitate the movement of pilgrims between key locations during Hajj.
Al-Misifri praised the role of the 18 licensed Qatari Hajj operators and highlighted the cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in serving pilgrims and ensuring the smooth performance of rituals.
He said the mission would begin evaluating this year’s operation immediately upon its return to Qatar, reviewing feedback from pilgrims and campaign operators to help improve future seasons.
The official said the successful completion of the season reflected Qatar’s commitment to providing high-quality services for pilgrims throughout every stage of their journey, from departure to their safe return home.
