Launched today by the Health Minister, the second edition of Qatar Medicare 2025 gathered 100 leading healthcare companies to spotlight digital innovation, smart hospitals, and global partnerships in Doha.
The Minister of Public Health, Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud, inaugurated the second edition of Qatar’s International Healthcare and Medical Exhibition and Conference, Qatar Medicare, on Tuesday.
The event is organised by IFP Qatar, in collaboration with Qatar Chamber (QC), and is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health.
Taking place from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the event gathers 100 local and international companies, including 64 from Qatar and 36 from abroad.
Participants include healthcare professionals, hospital representatives, medical service providers, distributors, technology experts, and investors, making it a key platform for healthcare exchange and innovation.

According to Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani, Chair of the Health Committee at Qatar Chamber, said: “The Qatar Chamber is committed to achieving self-sufficiency in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Qatar Medicare reflects the strong public-private collaboration driving Qatar’s healthcare landscape.”
She added that the event features participation from a wide range of governmental and semi-governmental entities, with Hamad Medical Corporation as the official partner and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology as the government partner.
The exhibition also welcomes extensive international participation from 14 countries, including leading institutions such as the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), UNESCO, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the International Labour Organization (ILO), alongside various regional and international healthcare companies.
According to Fitch Solutions, a subsidiary of Fitch Ratings, Qatar’s healthcare sector is expected to grow rapidly, with total health expenditure projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 14% by 2029, reaching USD 11.5 billion (QAR 41.86 billion).
This growth positions Qatar as the third-largest healthcare market in the GCC and the tenth-largest in the MENA region, reflecting the country’s growing role in regional healthcare development.
Hayat Bayan, Commercial and Operations Director at IFP Qatar, said: “Qatar Medicare includes daily one-on-one meetings between exhibitors, visitors, and major hospitals from both the public and private sectors, in addition to panel discussions and workshops featuring more than 55 speakers, 25 presentations, five dialogue sessions, four workshops, training sessions, and an Open Stage segment that allows professionals two minutes each to share their work and expertise.”
She added that the event will conclude with the Qatar Medicare 2025 Healthcare Excellence Awards, which will recognise 15 categories of outstanding institutions and individuals in the healthcare sector.

Bayan explained that the conference agenda explores crucial themes, including harnessing technology and innovative solutions to improve patient care and efficiency, building sustainable healthcare systems, advancing the healthcare sector in line with international best practices, and identifying opportunities to strengthen global health security.
The sessions will also review the 2026 procurement plans of Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation, while highlighting the role of the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) in cancer prevention and promoting medical literacy.
She further noted that discussions would focus on the latest healthcare innovations, including digital transformation, smart hospitals leveraging AI and the Internet of Things (IoT), advancements in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, and strengthening the global medical supply chain.
The sessions will also emphasise mental health and well-being, laboratory excellence, and the importance of preventive workplace care.
Nasser Mohammed Al Hajri, Chairman of Al Jazira Medical Group, the Platinum Sponsor, commented: “We will showcase our latest healthcare innovations, advanced medical technologies, and services at the event. Our goal is to strengthen our partnership with the public sector to further develop healthcare services in Qatar, while implementing a comprehensive strategy to expand in the local market and meet the growing demand for healthcare supplies and services.”
Zainab Al Moosa, CEO of Almoosa Specialist Hospital, said, “Almoosa Health Group is a leading health care provider in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, offering comprehensive services including primary and critical care, rehabilitation, pharmacy, home healthcare, and telemedicine. Through our participation in the event, we aim to explore opportunities for collaboration as part of our regional expansion strategy.”
Meanwhile, Hadi Mohamad Abu Rasheed, Scientific Advisor at Qatar Cancer Society and member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the International Cancer Patients Alliance, emphasised that QCS’s participation as a Silver Sponsor aims to enhance awareness efforts on cancer prevention and early detection.
It will also explore the latest technologies and potential partnerships to improve and innovate healthcare practices, thereby raising community awareness and enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.
