Many Qatar residents dug out their boots and reached for warm drinks and fuzzy clothes this morning before heading out into the rain.
After showers briefly drenched Doha earlier today, scattered rains have continued to sprinkle across the city. Thunderstorms may also be possible in certain parts of the country, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said, warning of strong winds and high seas.
The precipitation is expected to taper off tomorrow and a cold front is forecast to move in, which will have maximum temperatures reach 17C (63F) in Doha.
Speaking to Doha News, Steff Gaulter, senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English said lows will fall to 13C (55F) tomorrow, with strong winds. She added: An “outside chance of a few spots of rain, perhaps Tuesday and Wednesday, but largely dry.”
According to weather.com, the sun will finally come out from behind the clouds the day after tomorrow, and we’ll see the high of the week on Friday, at 20C (68F).
