After eight months of construction, contractors have completed a new 14,000-square meter park on the northern edge of Al Khor, according the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME).

Hazm Al-Jalta is located across the street from the Al Khor Airport on the road leading to Al Dakhira.

It features green space, trees, umbrellas, games for children as well as a small lake, the ministry said in a statement today.

The completion of Hazm Al-Jalta comes a few weeks after Al Khor Park reopened to the public following a multi-year, QR250 million redevelopment.

Like Al Khor Park, entrance to Hazm Al-Jalta is restricted to “families only,” according to signs posted at the facility. In practice, this generally means unaccompanied men are not allowed.
