After a month of relatively pleasant temperatures (minus a few soggy and dusty days), Qatar is set to heat up significantly in the coming weeks, reaching as high as 37C (99F) in some parts of the country today.

With winter officially behind us, residents can expect to regularly see maximum temps in the 30s next month – and maybe even a few days of 40C (104F) weather, according to Steff Gaulter, senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English.
That’s about on par with what the country usually sees in April, Accuweather estimates:
For those who aren’t ready for the heat to set in yet, Gaulter added that windy conditions toward the end of this week should cool things off temporarily.
Speaking to Doha News, she said:
“A strong wind from the northwest will make things less hot by the weekend, dropping the temperature from today’s 32C (in Doha) to around 28C.”
Who’s ready to hit the beach? Thoughts?
