As humidity rises across the country, the Qatar Meteorology Department is forecasting rainfall in the north this week, with a slight chance that Doha could also see some precipitation.
In a statement on its website today, the MET said:
“During midday today and tomorrow the low cloud will form, where there is a chance of rain may be thundery at times with gusting strong wind especially over north of Qatar. By tomorrow afternoon the wind will change to Northwesterly fresh-strong, and the warning will issue by strong wind and high seas until Tuesday.”
Speaking to Doha News, a meteorologist said the sticky humidity would persist for the next four or five days, contributing to foggy conditions that have been reducing visibility in the mornings.
Expected warning for tomorrow poor visibility at some places during the fog. pleace take care

The forecaster added, “There will be rain in some places – I hope in Doha.”
Steff Gaulter, a senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English, said that the rain is due to a weather front sinking south down the Gulf. Speaking to Doha News, she added that rain is unlikely in Doha, but at least cooler temperatures are on the way:
“As for the humidity, the winds should change during Monday, so it should improve.
The NW wind will clear the humidity, but also make it cooler. Top temperature of 30C by Wednesday.”
Qatar has seen thunderstorms for at least the past two Novembers, much to the delight of residents bored with sunny, dusty days.
Are you looking forward to some rain? Thoughts?
