Qatar residents should see some relief from sticky weather in the coming days, but will be trading that humidity for high winds and swirling dust, forecasters have said.
The Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) has warned of windy weather beginning at noontime today and continuing through Monday.
Residents should expect high waves at sea and low visibility on the roads due to the ensuing dusty conditions, the MET said.
On the plus side, temperatures are finally expected to drop:

Expect the highs over the next few days to fall from above 40C to around 33C (91F), and the evenings to be as cool as 25C (77F).
Foggy weather
October is a bit of a transitional month for Qatar following an unseasonably long and hot summer, which the MET blamed on global warming and El Niño.
This week however, high humidity and low nighttime temperatures have been creating foggy morning conditions, heralding the beginnings of winter.
Who’s looking forward to cooler weather? Thoughts?
