It’s the first weekend of Ramadan, and Qatar’s events calendar is already buzzing with activities for families and friends, from post-Iftar treats at the Throwback Food Festival to strolls through Ramadan bazaars.

1. Throwback Food Festival

The Throwback Food Festival returned in its third edition at the Old Doha Port and is here to stay throughout Ramadan.
The festival blends food and nostalgia by featuring a variety of options under the themes of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. A total of 30 vendors and restaurants from Qatar and across the region are taking part in the latest edition.

2. Ramadan Shopping Fair

This weekend, shoppers can head to the Ramadan Shopping Fair at Souq Al Wakrah for all the Ramadan necessities, from home decor to flavourful treats for gatherings or post-iftar snacks.

3. Ramadan Bazaar and Activations

The Pearl and Gewan Islands are embracing the Ramadan spirit with a lineup of public events and activities. Highlights include the annual Ramadan Bazaar, featuring food kiosks and a variety of goods, from accessories to bukhoor.

4. Layali Msheireb

Msheireb Downtown Doha also got into the Ramadan spirit with the “Layali Msheireb”, a comprehensive seasonal programme for the Holy month and Eid Al-Fitr.
Throughout Ramadan, Msheireb’s visitors will get to enjoy installations and cultural activities as well as iftar and suhoor experiences. This year also features painting zones at Sahat Wadi Msheireb for adults and children where they can unleash their creativity.

5. Old Souq Bazaar at Tawar Mall

The Old Souq Bazaar at Tawar Mall offers a relaxed cultural shopping experience, featuring traditional clothing, coffee products, and bukhoor among others. Until April 30, the souq will support local families through the Productive Families Markets Exhibition, giving them the chance to showcase their own products.
