Rodgers and Hammerstein’s award-winning musical Oklahoma! will be performed in Doha for four nights, beginning this Thursday.
Oklahoma! follows the trials and tribulations of cowboys and the women they are trying to persuade to marry them. It features classic songs like opener “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” and of course, closing number and namesake of the show, “Oklahoma.”
The show’s being performed by amateur dramatics group Senter Stage Musicals.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Performing Arts Department at the Doha British School, where the show is being staged.
Evening performances will be held at 7.30 pm on the 28th of February and on the 1st, 7th and 8th of March. There will also be matinees, beginning at 2.30 pm on the 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th of March.
Tickets prices are QR100 for the first four rows and QR75 for tiered seating. Tickets are available from The One’s branches in Villagio and Landmark Mall.
