Qatar-based broadcaster Al Araby TV confirmed its Tehran office was heavily damaged in a missile attack on Sunday.
Qatar-based broadcaster Al Araby TV reported that its office in the Iranian capital, Tehran, was heavily damaged following a missile strike on Sunday.
A live report from Al Araby TV’s Tehran correspondent, Hazem Kallas, was abruptly cut off when the connection was lost.
Presenter Mohamad Ghamlouch confirmed that the disruption was triggered by “a loud explosion and missile strike” near the building that houses the broadcaster’s Tehran desk.
Footage from Kallas on the ground showed that the building sustained significant damage, including to the Al Araby TV office and production rooms.
Inside the office, broken windows, shattered glass, and scattered debris were clearly visible.
Outside the building, images showed streets covered in debris and damage to surrounding structures. Scenes also showed citizens gathering on the streets near the site of the destruction.
Ghamlouch confirmed that the Tehran team, including Kallas, cameramen, and producers, was able to evacuate the building safely, and no injuries were reported among the Al Araby TV staff.
