Qatar took part in the resumed 165th ordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held in the Jordanian capital on Monday.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, who joined Arab foreign ministers and senior officials for discussions on issues of common concern and developments on the regional agenda.
The session forms part of the Arab League’s regular ministerial meetings, which bring together member states to coordinate positions on political, economic and security matters affecting the Arab world.
The gathering in Amman comes amid continued regional diplomatic activity and efforts to strengthen cooperation among Arab countries.
Earlier on Monday, Al Muraikhi also participated in a coordination meeting of GCC foreign ministers on the sidelines of the Arab League’s 165th ordinary session.
During the GCC meeting, officials discussed the latest developments as well as de-escalation efforts and ways to strengthen regional security and stability.
