A total of 166 graduates were honoured, representing government, semi-government and private sector entities.
Under the patronage of Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Qatar Leadership Centre, the Centre celebrated the graduation of the 13th cohort of its National Leadership Programmes, “Qiyadat 2026”. The ceremony underscored Qatar’s continued focus on developing human capital and preparing national leaders to drive innovation and sustainable development.
A total of 166 graduates were honoured, representing government, semi-government and private sector entities, reaffirming the Centre’s role in leadership development across the country.
The cohort included 122 participants from the National Leadership Programmes, and 44 graduates from the Executive Master’s in Leadership Programme, one of the Centre’s flagship academic programs designed to prepare emerging leaders in line with the highest international standards.
The event was attended by Sheikha Al Mayassa; Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Saud Al Thani, Vice Chairman and Managing Director; a number of ministers and senior officials; as well as the graduates’ families.
In her remarks, Sheikha Al Mayassa highlighted the national vision behind the programmes, stating: “Investing in people is our most enduring strategic choice, and in Qatar we believe that developing leaders is the guarantee for moving steadily toward the future we aspire to.”
She also added: “In a world swept by the winds of change, modernity, and technology, identity, language, and authenticity remain the deepest anchor in the journey of sailing forward with an ambitious vision toward the future.”
Addressing the graduating cohort directly, Sheikha Al Mayassa said, “Leadership is not a position — it is a responsibility. Be role models in integrity and competence. Leave an impact, however small, each from your own position. And let Qatar always be the standard.”
Qatar Leadership Centre’s General Manager, Abdulla Mohammed Khalifa Albinali, said, “Today, we celebrate the graduation of a new cohort of leaders following a year rich in development and achievement, encompassing capability building, strategic development, and participation in international learning experiences that enhanced leadership competencies and broadened professional and intellectual horizons.”
He added, “These experiences provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and exposure to global best practices, further strengthening leaders’ readiness for the future. Today marks the beginning of a new chapter of responsibility and continued growth, where our graduates will serve as role models in giving, pioneers in innovation, and ambassadors of values, contributing to the continued progress and prosperity of the nation.”
Established in 2008 by Amiri decision of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, the Centre serves as a national platform for leadership training in partnership with leading global universities and institutes. Its mission is to prepare future leaders, support Qatar’s national vision and contribute to a knowledge‑based economy.
The graduation comes at a time of rising global demand for agile and adaptive leadership, placing added responsibility on graduates to contribute to Qatar’s development using the skills and strategic insight gained through the programme.
