The football legend’s visit shines light on grassroots work to break barriers to schooling.
David Beckham, the former international footballer and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, visited an education initiative in India, supported by Qatar-based Education Above All (EAA) Foundation and its Indian partner Mantra4Change, the organisations announced.
Beckham spent time in classrooms and outdoor learning spaces, engaging with students and teachers involved in the programme.

He observed interactive lessons and participated in activities designed to build confidence and collaboration among young learners.
Students shared personal stories about their education experiences and spoke with Beckham about their goals for the future.
According to EAA Foundation, the visit aimed to highlight the organisation’s broader mission to reduce barriers to education and promote innovative, community-driven approaches to learning across India.

The foundation works with government bodies and civil society partners to expand access to schooling, strengthen teaching practices, and support child-centered learning models.
Mantra4Change, EAA’s implementing partner in the region, collaborates with schools to improve learning environments and ensure children have safe, inclusive spaces in which to study.
Both organisations said the visit underscored the importance of sustained investment in programmes that support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
EAA Foundation continues to operate a range of initiatives across India focused on improving education quality and empowering young people through locally tailored solutions.
