Qatar’s Ministry of Labour (MoL) has announced a comprehensive revision of fees for work permits, recruitment services, and document attestation, aiming to streamline processes and support a better workplace environment.
Qatar’s Ministry of Labour has introduced updated charges for a range of services including the issuance and renewal of work permits, the recruitment of workers from abroad, and the attestation of official documents.
The revisions follow Labour Decision No. (32) of 2025, which was published in the Official Gazette.
The changes reflect an effort “to foster a better workplace environment,” the Ministry said in a statement on X, and they also aim to balance administrative costs while maintaining accessibility for individuals and organisations.
Unchanged Fees
Several fees remain the same following the Ministry of Labour’s update.
The annual issuance and renewal of work permits for workers employed by private companies, associations, and institutions continue to cost QAR 100.
Similarly, the replacement of work permits lost or damaged for workers recruited by their spouses or relatives remains at QAR 100.
Attestation fees for company seals, employment contracts, certificates, and other documents also remain unchanged at QAR20, with exemptions for Qatari citizens, children of Qatari women, and GCC citizens.
The renewal and replacement of licences to practise the activity of recruiting workers from abroad continue at QAR2,000 and QAR1,000 respectively.
Increased Fees
Certain services have seen an increase. Notably, the replacement of lost or damaged work permits for workers employed by private companies, associations, and institutions has doubled from QAR 50 to QAR 100.
Decreased Fees
The update also includes significant reductions. The annual issuance and renewal of work permits for workers recruited by their spouses or relatives has been reduced from QAR500 to QAR 100, easing the financial burden on families.
Furthermore, the cost of issuing a new licence to practise the activity of recruiting workers from abroad has dropped sharply from QAR 10,000 to QAR 2,000, supporting businesses and facilitating international recruitment.
