In celebration of the spirit of Ramadan, Doha News, Qatar’s leading independent English media outlet, in partnership with Katara Hospitality hosted its first ever iftar event on Wednesday at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Doha.
The event saw a distinguished gathering of ambassadors and diplomats from more than 35 countries, journalists, marketing partners and representatives from various entities in Qatar.
The large gathering took place under a warm atmosphere and served as a platform for networking and establishing connections between the attendees.
The event highlighted Doha News’ milestones and achievements since its relaunch in 2020, which has cemented its position as Qatar’s leading and trusted independent news source.

Showcasing the significance of journalism’s role, Doha News honoured Palestinian journalists who were evacuated from the Gaza Strip by inviting them and giving them a standing ovation.

The ambassadors in attendance represented the United States, France, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, Ghana, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Guyana, Thailand, Vietnam, Angola, Malta, Brunei, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Haiti.
The iftar also welcomed diplomats from Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Singapore, Sweden, Germany, Syria, Russia, Iran, Mexico, Paraguay, Australia, Korea, Algeria, Spain, Canada.
The gathering saw the special attendance of representatives from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs among other prominent entities in Qatar, which also included Education Above All Foundation, Al Jazeera TV and Al Araby TV.
Leading companies from various sectors in Qatar were also present, including Katara Hospitality, LuLu Group, Zulal Wellness Resort, Heenat Salma, BLJ Worldwide, Elan, Powerholding International, ITP Doha, and Mandarin Oriental Doha.
