The US State Department has approved a $20 million weapons sale to Qatar that includes 50 Javelin Guided Missiles and 10 Command Launch Units, as well as about two years of contractor support, among other things. The principal contractor on the project is Lockheed Martin.
In a statement this week, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said the proposed sale will help Qatar “meet current and future threats” and “contributes to the foreign policy and national security of the United States.”
