After a month of heightened security, guards have begun allowing many non-travelers back into Hamad International Airport (HIA).
During the Eid Al Fitr holidays and for weeks afterwards, only passengers were permitted inside the Arrivals and Departures terminals. However, things appeared to have returned to normal this week, and security guards told Doha News they were instructed to relax measures in August. Still, some visitors have said they continue to have trouble at departures.
