A short film highlighting some of Qatar’s best tourism spots has won a gold medal at an American awards ceremony that recognizes achievement in TV and movie-making around the world.

The three-and-a-half-minute film – Essence of Qatar – won the award in the New York Festivals World’s Best TV and Films “Industrial Productions” category, which assesses films made to promote businesses and organizations.
