Qatar inspectors close grocers, stores for food violations

A total of nine cafes, food shops and warehouses have been temporarily shut down this week by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME/Baladiya) after violating regulations for food storage and preparation.

Inspectors ordered the establishments to close either partially or fully for a between 5 days and 2 months. They include Hazel Wholesale Point, Paramount Restaurant and Empire Cafe. A full list of the closures is published in Arabic on the MME’s website.
