The 2025 edition of Najah Qatari concluded on Wednesday at the Doha University for Science and Technology after bringing prominent youth institutions, community initiatives, universities, youth centers, and innovators from across the country together.
One of the most prominent annual events aimed at showcasing the inspiring success stories of young Qataris across various fields, the initiative is a part of Ministry of Sports and Youth’s efforts to support Qatari youth.
“Investing in their [youth’s] energy and initiatives is an investment in the nation’s future,” said Fawaz Al-Musaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in a statement.
“Najah Qatari is a living example of this approach, as it brings together creativity, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.”
The two day-event included the Qatar Scientific Club Forum, the Entrepreneurs and Youth Forum, the Marine Environment Forum among various other discussions.
Exhibitions of student projects from Doha University for Science and Technology, interactive competitions, a presentation of the youth license and permit guide, and a closing ceremony to honor sponsors and winners was also held.
One of the winners included the project about the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem as well as projects reflecting on homeland and identity also made the podium.
The range of activities, forums and projects reflectied “diverse range of interests” among Qatari youth, according to the ministry’s statement.
“Such events are a cornerstone in building a conscious, creative, and proactive generation that effectively contributes to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030,” the statement said.
Inaugurated in 2017, Najah Qatari is centered around Qatari youth, to inspire and celebrate them.
The likes of royal family members, ministers, Qatari business personalities, inventors, and prominent public figures across several fields have previously paid guests to the initiative.
This year’s edition comes at a crucial time following the Gulf country’s conscious push to center its future around youth and their active presence.
“This vision aligns with the state’s aspirations to build a cohesive and prosperous society where youth are essential partners in development, not merely beneficiaries,” the ministry said.
