As Halloween rolls around, the hunt for pumpkins resumes – and once again, the prices are frightful. 

On popular social networking site Qatar Living, shopper ellietot queries: 

Does anyone know of anywhere that sells pumpkins – without having to take out a second mortgage??!!!

I know it is a bit of a long shot as I presume they would all be imported – I have seen them in LuLu’s ranging from about 300QAR for a smallish one to well over a 1000QAR for a big one – call me tight but I can’t justify spending quite that much on one!
