Hassad Food is ramping up monitoring, supply chains and investments to ensure stable food availability.
Hassad Food has implemented a multi-tiered strategy to reinforce food security and maintain stable supply levels in Qatar.
This comes as regional challenges caused by U.S.-Israel-Iran war, including the closure of key shipping routes and airspace restrictions, raise concerns over supply continuity.
The company said it is conducting continuous digital monitoring of food commodity data to track availability in real time and respond quickly to any disruptions.
Hassad Food said it was also in direct coordination with private sector stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers and logistics providers, to ensure that essential goods remain accessible in the local market.
As part of its response, the state-backed company has activated alternative supply routes and deployed emergency supply chains, accelerating air and land transport operations via multiple countries.
The measures are designed to mitigate potential shortages and maintain the steady flow of food imports.
Hassad Food is boosting both local and international investments to support long-term resilience.
These include crucial sectors such as meat, poultry, fish, dairy, trading and distribution, as well as initiatives to strengthen local production capacity.
Suppliers have also been supported through access to alternative import channels, alongside enhanced coordination across the supply chain.
According to the company, over 1,200 tonnes of food have already been imported under the plan, with an additional 500 tonnes expected to arrive shortly.
The measures underscore Qatar’s continued focus on safeguarding food security through proactive planning.
