HISTORY

The Ecuadorian national football team has appeared at now four FIFA World Cups, the first being in 2002 after coming second in South America. Their best performance was in 2006 when they were eliminated in the Round of 16. Ecuador qualified for this year’s World Cup in March after finishing fourth in the CONMEBOL group
