The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, will arrive in Doha today ahead of a meeting tomorrow with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, QNA said.
Maduro visited Qatar in January 2015, while the Emir traveled to Caracas last November as part of a South American tour. The previous visits resulted in deals on food imports from Venezuela, an undefined “air services” agreement, an exchange of expertise between the ministries of justice, a cash bail-out following the oil price drop and visa exemptions.
