Those spending time outdoors this weekend, take note: Scattered rains and possible thunderstorms are in the forecast for Qatar today.

According to the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET), the unstable weather could even last through Tuesday, which is National Sport Day.

Forecasters added that windy conditions and poor visibility are expected today, and urged sea-goers to be cautious.

Temperature-wise, the high in Doha will be around 24C today, with the low falling to 17C. It will colder in the north and south of the country, however.

In a statement, the MET said it is expecting things to get even windier tomorrow, with speeds reaching up to 35 knots (65km/hour) when thunderstorms move in.

Will the weather affect your plans over the next few days? Thoughts?
