Starting Nov. 1, the cost of one liter of 91-octane, premium grade petrol will be QR1.35/liter, while super (95-octane) gasoline will cost QR1.45/liter.
Starting Sept. 1, 91-octane premium petrol will cost QR1.30/liter, down from QR1.35 currently. And Super 95-octane gasoline will cost QR1.40 per liter, down from QR1.45 previously.
Under Law No.6 of 2016, it is illegal to bring any petroleum or oil products into or out of the country or to sell them on without a license from Qatar Petroleum.
Though the rising cost of petrol may only be putting residents out a few riyals a week, the windfall turns out to be a significant one for the Gulf state.
