The new healthcare scheme, which aims to provides health insurance coverage to all residents and visitors by 2015, has gotten off to a strong start by covering all Qataris, but some hospitals have been struggling with the influx of patients.

All Qatari nationals can access health services from a wider range of clinics and hospitals from today as Stage Two of Seha is launched.

The biggest challenge to rolling out universal healthcare here has been that hospitals haven't been able to keep up with demand, a senior health official has said.
