Qatar residents pay QR10 million for ‘fancy’ license plates
By the time the two-day auction closed at 10pm on Thursday, the highest bid had surpassed QR900,000 ($257,000), for the license plate number 377773.

Bid for ‘special’ license plate number hits QR200.4 million
Nineteen license plate numbers are currently up for auction on the MOI's Metrash2 phone application. One number in particular - 333355 - is so far going for a whopping QR200m ($55 million).
