Road fatalities continue to fall in Qatar

Six people died in traffic accidents in Qatar in July, down significantly from 20 during the same month last year, according to the Ministry of Development, Planning and Statistics (MDPS).

Overall, traffic accident fatalities for the first seven months of 2016 stood at 105 cases, a drop of about a third from the 151 cases recorded in the same period in 2015. The news comes as the overall number of traffic accidents has also fallen this year, though injuries have proliferated.
