Citing the rising demand for interpreters at Qatar’s hospitals and courts, the College of Humanities and Social Science at Hamad bin Khalifa University plans to introduce a new graduate degree in simultaneous interpretation, the Peninsula reports.
The college’s dean, Amal Al-Malki, made the announcement during the “Politics of Translation: Representations and Power” conference yesterday. The event concludes today.
