Cameras are being installed on Al Fazaa patrol vehicles, allowing Ministry of Interior officials to remotely observe accident and fire scenes from their offices, the Peninsula reports.

Automatically transmitting video would reduce the need for officers on the scene of an emergency to relay information to off-site supervisors, the report added.
