A Qatari property company says that increased demand has pushed up rental prices for 1 and 2 bedroom apartments in Doha by 8% in the last three months.
The figures have been published in Trade Arabia, quoting Asteco Qatar’s ‘Q2 report for Qatar’.
“Demand for one-and two-bedroom apartments is now beginning to outstrip supply in various locations, particularly in the Diplomatic District and the Pearl-Qatar, both offering good quality accommodation, something tenants from mature overseas markets will not compromise on.”
Jed Wolfe, Managing Director, Asteco Qatar
However, they say that further price increases are unlikely for the rest of the year, as a large number of new apartments blocks are finished and put on the market for rental.
