The Sidra Medical and Research Center has added two new appointments to its board of governors – Dr. Abdulla Al Kaabi and Dr. Elizabeth Cannon, it announced yesterday.
Al-Kaabi is Sidra’s executive vice-chief medical officer and is associate professor of clinical pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. He established Qatar’s pediatric renal transplant program and set up the country’s first pediatric hemodialysis unit at HMC. Cannon is president and vice-chancellor of the University of Calgary in Canada and is an expert in geomatics engineering.
