Speaking at the World Humanitarian Summit in Turkey yesterday, Qatar’s former first lady and Chairperson of Qatar Foundation and Education Above All Sheikha Moza bint Nasser called for the protection of schools in conflict zones.

“The destruction of schools are not just ‘accidents’ of war. Education is under attack. Our schools are the battlefield. It is time to fight back,” QNA reported her as saying.
