Qatar to open separate court for traffic disputes
Overburdened with cases related to traffic accidents and citations, Qatar is working on setting up a separate court to manage the backlog, a senior Ministry of Interior official has said.
Currently, one section of the court deals with traffic cases, but as the number of disputed violations continue to grow – in part due to the stiff fines imposed on drivers who run red lights – another solution is needed.
A new court sounds like a good idea, though the idea is still in the committee phase, so it might take a while to come to fruition.
Have you ever tried to dispute a traffic fine? What was your experience?
