It has been a hot and historic week for Qatar, which welcomed a new Emir for the first time in 18 years – and also 46C (115F) heat, the highest we’ve seen in 2013, according to Al Jazeera English senior meteorologist Steff Gaulter.
The Qatar Meteorology Department is warning that temperatures will continue to climb this weekend, at least to 47C (117F), and is advising the public to “take caution.”
Dust and winds, fortunately, are expected to keep a low profile.Â
HMC has previously offered some tips on surviving the heat, including drinking a lot of water and staying indoors when the sun is at its harshest, between 10am and 3pm. And Gulf News has a few pieces of advice on keeping your car from becoming an oven.
Do you have tips? Thoughts?
