The Peninsula newspaper is reporting that falcon prices here – while normally between 100,000-400,000 QR – have now crossed a million Qatari riyals amid a month-long falconry festival in Sealine.

Specifically, birds of the Hur breed of falcon are in high demand for their power and speed, the report says.
