New diversion in place to reach long-term parking at Qatar’s airport

    For the next year and a half, travelers will need to allot more time to get to Hamad International Airport’s long-term parking lot.

    Qatar Rail has announced a road closure and traffic diversion at the airport from tomorrow, May 22 to June 30, 2018.

    The closure is part of Doha Metro works, and means motorists will need to take a more circuitous route to get to the long-term parking once they enter the airport area.

    Parking at the lot is QR2 per hour, and QR45 per every 24 hours.

    HIA diversion

    Once completed in late 2019, HIA will be accessible via the metro’s Red Line South, which will also run from Msheireb to Mesaieed.
