MET warns of four-day heat wave
Goodbye, cold nights! At least, for now.
Starting tomorrow (Monday), temperatures in and around Doha are expected to rise some 3 to 5C higher than normal for this time of year, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said.
Maximum temperatures could reach 34C (93F) over the next few days, dropping to 21C (70F) at night.
The thermometer may go higher in the southern part of Qatar, the MET added in a statement on its website.
But take heart in the fact that strong winds will bring temperatures down to the normal averages for March by Thursday. And know that the highest recorded temperature for this month was in 1998, at a sizzling 39C (102F).
