With temperatures falling below 9C (48F) this morning, today may mark Qatar’s coldest day of the year, the country’s Meteorology Department has said.

Expect Qatar’s cold snap to continue until at least Wednesday, said Abdulla al-Mannai, the MET’s head of forecasting, as reported by the Gulf Times.

One small silver lining: though gusty gales of wind will continue to pound Doha for the next few days, there is no rain in sight, the MET said.

And, at least it’s not below freezing, like in the UAE!
