Meteorologists are warning Qatar residents to take care as winds pick up and dust begins to swirl this afternoon and through the weekend.
According to the Qatar Meteorology Department on Twitter:
StrongNW’LY wind is expected to affect the area by next few hours associated with blowing dust and sand..please take caution„,

Steff Gaulter, senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English, adds:Â
All calm at the moment in #Doha, but around lunchtime the winds will start to pick up and the dust will begin to fly…

The high today will 27C (81F), with a low of 20C (68F).
But temperatures are expected to drop over the next few days, with maximums of 20C and lows of 14C (57F) by Saturday, the MET told Doha News.
“It will be cold this week,” a forecaster said.
