One of the country’s largest under-construction shopping centers will open in August, the Mall of Qatar’s developers have said. A spokesperson for UrbaCon Trading and Contracting – which is reportedly mulling IPO plans – was unable to immediately say if the entire mall would open at once, or if sections of the giant retail hub would open in stages.
MOQ was originally scheduled to be completed in September 2015 before revising its opening date, most recently to the third quarter of 2016. Photos last month show contractors installing interior decorations and finishes to the 450,000sqm facility.
