Potentially hundreds of government employees made redundant in last month’s cabinet shakeup – which merged several ministries together – could soon find themselves with new jobs, according to Al Sharq.

The newspaper said today that government departments and agencies have started to send the newly created Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs lists of “excess” employees. It’s expected that they will be reassigned to other public institutions with staff shortages.
