Qatar General Electricity & Water Corp. (Kahramaa) has launched a project to ensure its grids stay online, even when over capacity, in a move that it called the first such development in the Gulf.
In a statement, the utilities company said it is developing a system to detect sudden large-scale power supply disruptions early, so that corrective measures can be taken to avert a crisis.
