If you haven’t looked out a window in the last couple of hours, you might want to know it’s quite dusty outside.
Qatar’s Meteorology Department earlier tweeted (in Arabic) about high winds and low visibility due to the dust it’s kicked up.
Steff Gaulter, the Senior Meteorologist at Al Jazeera English, says it shouldn’t last long, though:
@dohanews @qatarmd Yep, visibility currently 2km, due to dust. Winds change tomorrow, becoming northwesterly, so it should improve.

She said visibility should be back up to 5 km by the evening, but also offers an early warning of chilly weather this weekend:
Early warning of a cold blast in #Doha! Winds start to pick up on Thursday. Cooler on Fri, with low on Fri night of 14C.

For now, drive safe.
